Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Ecatepec

MArCE operates from the town of Santa Clara Coatitla, State of Mexico. It promotes artistic processes that converge with local knowledge to generate actions that have an impact on the community that receives and nurtures the project, fostering connections between artistic, ecological, gastronomic, and human rights promotion practices among its residents.‍
  • Cook and Resist.
    Project based on the food as a way of understanding heritage but also promoting alternative economies, the importance of occupying public space and regenerating social fabric in the peripheries.This project will include a series of filmed interviews with the community and a public food festival.
  • Meteoritas de Ecatepec.
    One month residency by Mexican artist Stéphanie Janaina and Chilean musician Nicolás Jaar, which includes a workshop for women residing in the outskirts of the State of Mexico. Final Concert / Performance in public space
  • Screenings: Lo que deja la corriente.
    Screening of short documentaries from filmmakers from the peripheries. The audiovisual exercises to be presented converge between art, education, The film cycle will be organized by three collectives from the State of Mexico: Colectiva Tuchtin en las Periferias, La Red de Juventudes Teotihuacanas, and MArCE. This will allow the events to take place in different municipalities, promoting mobility and outreach.
